Delft Cows
A pair of 18th century blue and white Delft cows.
Baring the initials 'A: I: H,' which are historical Delftware marks belonging to A (Grieksche A) Jacobus Halder Adriaensz., (owner) 1765-1768.
Delftware started being made roughly between 1620 and 1850 as the first ships carrying Chinese porcelain began to arrive in the Netherlands in the early 1600's. This was luxury and became hugely popular and the makers in Delft decided that they could make their own versions and thus Delftware was born!
Hobo loves: these little cows are just so charming. You can't help but smile when you look at them. The blue and white china that you didn't know you needed. Would fit right in seamlessly as ornaments in any room of the house or they make super snazzy book ends.
