Sorcerers Stones

A pair of contemporary French limestone sorcerer's stones.

Hobo loves because: my favourite type sculpture. Geometric, graphic and just downright cool. Absolutely love the superstitious story behind them.

Sorcerer's stones or Pierres des sorcières were architectural elements which were placed on the outer edges of rural buildings in 18th Century France with the belief that the polyhedral forms would ward off evil spirits, witches and general misfortune.
