Guzzini Lamps, 1972
A pair of Harvey Guzzini 'Sorella' table lamps, first edition, 1972. Moulded in softly curved ABS plastic, sculptural and mushroom like in form.
The shades are gently flared and direct light downwards creating a warm, ambient glow.
Guzzini's 'Sorella' lamps are widely regarded as icons of Italian design. The model became embedded in pop culture after appearing in James Bond 'Moonraker' in 1979 and in Space: 1999.
