Einar Bäckström (1889–1978) was a Swedish metal-work designer and craftsman whose Malmö workshop, Einar Bäckströms Metallvarufabrik was founded in 1918. His workshop became known across Scandinavia for its elegant, functional lighting.
Bäckström’s designs typically combine high-quality materials such as brass (often patinated or lacquered) with a certain simplicity.
